The Berlin International Economics Congress (BIEC)
An Interdisciplinary Analysis of the Roles of
Global Politics & Civil Society in International Economics
(Berlin, 4th - 7th February 2010)
Dear friends and colleagues,
I am writing to announce the dates of the forthcoming major congress being held by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy taking place in February 2010. We appreciate your support and assistance in spreading the word about this great opportunity and would be grateful if you could forward this information on to any individuals who you feel may be interested in attending this program.
The BIEC (www.biec.de) will take place in Berlin from 4th - 7th February 2010 and will provide a forum for leading figures from across the world in economics, politics, civil society, the private sector and academia to discuss different perspectives on the recent financial crisis and the international economy. The event will seek to produce policy recommendations that take into account the diverse range of actors and stakeholders in the field.
The following issues will be addressed and explored:
• The New Economic World Order & International Relations
(Focus: Russia, China, India, Brazil, South Africa, and Indonesia)
• Moving Beyond Copenhagen: Bridging International Economics and Climate Change(Focus: The Copenhagen Conference, Economic Dimensions of Climate Change, the Role of Civil Society, Green Technologies)
• The Global Financial Crisis
(Focus: Causes, Impact, Protectionism and the Challenges Ahead; Case studies of Iceland, Dubai, Latvia, Hungary, and the US)
• Corporate Social Responsibility and Socially Responsible Investment
(Focus: Multinational Corporations in Africa, Latin America and Asia, the Triple Bottom Line, Business Ethics, CSR Rating Indices)
• Traditional Industries in the Information Age
(Focus: Real Estate, Tourism, Car and Aircraft Industries, and Agriculture)
• Ethics in Aid and Trade: Incentives and Impacts
(Focus: Ethical Trading Initiatives, Fair-trade, Ethical Consumerism, The Role of NGOs)

Hello Everybody,
I am writing a topic here because I have an urgent problem,
I booked my eurostar ticket today from Paris to London because I found 2 cheap tickets for the 25th of August. I go there for the Notting Hill Carnival but I know that it will be hard to book accommodation when I arrive there, I must do it through internet as soon as possible
Does anybody know a website where I can fin accommodation easily
I really need an answer because the Carnival comes soon

Ma tres chere Chantal, tu m' interesses... Serieux, des gens comme toi, y'en a pas assez! TU me connais pas , tu m' as jamais , mais t'es prete a me filer ta tune ! Pas de probleme, je suis preneur ! Et ne t' inquiete pas, je serai rester discret, comme toi j' utilise ce site ultra securise et personne n'y saura jamais rien. Bonjour,
Je suis arrivée il y a deux semaines en banlieue de Birmingham , plus précisément Halesowen pres de Quiton, Dudley et Blackheath. J'ai 25 ans, je participe au programme leonardo et j'effectue un stage au Stourbridge College. Je loge chez une sympathique mamie de 79 ans (on ne choisit pas notre logement avec ce programme!) et je ne connais personne dans ce coin là. J'ai un peu exploré le coin et je n'ai rien trouvé de sympa pour faire des connaissances, je lance donc un appel desespéré pour rencontrer du monde, français ou anglais habitant dans le coin ou sur Birmingham même, souhaitant me faire découvrir les choses sympas à faire.
